Charlotte Butterfill

Fully qualified Early Years teacher and Founder of award-winning London-based and Montessori-led ‘The Butterfly Pre School’, Charlotte is very much involved in the day to day teaching as well as the running of the 3 locations. With 3 school age boys, Charlotte noticed early on that her first child loved listening to audio books but struggled to read therefore losing both his confidence and interest in books. Diagnosed as dyslexic, Charlotte recognised the importance of reading to him. With a passion for English literature herself, Fireplace Story has been a natural evolution by taking her story-telling from the pre-school to the home. Founders of fireplace story

Emma Yates

Having worked with Charlotte in their early years in marketing and live events, Emma is the technical know-how behind Fireplace Story. As a lover of books herself and mother of two primary school age children, Emma recognises the importance in reading but also understands the daily juggle of being a parent and the time needed to invest in reading to children.

Through the expertise of The Butterfly Pre-School, both Charlotte and Emma are equipped with up-to-date curriculum requirements, where key learning guidelines can be applied to the books and their themes chosen for each age category. The first category being Story Time with Mrs Charlotte for ages 6 and under.

Fireplace Story will go on to explore books and inspire all ages. We will also look to start publishing books.
